Gecco Interiors - About Us
About us

Gecco Interiors is about beautiful interior design and about preserving this wonderful planet, but it is also about ‘Doing things Differently’.

Each of our suppliers has been carefully selected and they will have varying degrees of ‘green’ due to the constraints of production and technology available today. We hope to find the ‘greenest’ suppliers in each field and have described the production methods and raw material composition of each product on the site, for you to make an informed decision. The result is wide selection of eco friendly products that you can incorporate into your green interior design plans! Our line includes organic fabrics, energy efficient light fixtures, furniture made from recycled materials and much more! Browse our site or request a consultation to plan your next environmentally friendly design.

In our choice of suppliers, we have taken inspiration from a leading environmentalist Paul Hawken who states;

“The great thing about the dilemma we are in, is that we get to re-imagine every single thing that we do. There isn’t one single thing that we make or system that we have, that doesn’t require a complete remake, and so there are two ways of looking at that. One is, Oh my gosh, what a great burden!. The other way, is the way I prefer to look at it, is what a great time to be born, what a great time to be alive, because this generation gets to essentially completely change this world”.

At Gecco Interiors we want to celebrate those entrepreneurs who have had the courage and vision to look at their industry and to try to do things differently. This may come in the form of taking timbers from derelict factories in India and turning them into beautiful pieces of furniture, or it may be a four year long research project into the use of stinging nettles in upholstery fabric, or it may be the massive financial investment in a purpose built factory in Stoke-0n-Trent, where broken ceramic pottery is crushed and turned into new ceramic bathroom tiles.

However they do it, these entrepreneurs and their innovative teams of people deserve to be celebrated and promoted, for they will be among those who make the difference and possibly help us all to preserve our natural resources.

We hope you enjoy our site and create some truly stylish room schemes. We would love to feature your schemes in our image gallery, just email your photos and a short description.
